Is parenthood full of life-changing, soul-stirring and magical moments? Y-E-S. 1,000% yes. But it is also teeming with moments that are hair-splitting and overwhelming that makes you feel like you're paddling upstream with a broken oar (you get the picture).
But these moments? They all matter. They all make up something very unique, and that is your family's story and they're gone in the blink of an eye before you can fully appreciate it.
That's why it's important to document as much of the (extra)ordinary moments of everyday life as you can, so you can relive them when your littles are grown - and even have littles of their own!

Hi, I'm Amy! a lifestyle family photographer in New York City and documenting the daily magic of family life is what I do.
I'm a recent San Francisco transplant returning to my home city after living on the West coast for almost 10 years. I like to think I'm a California girl but I know deep down I'm a New Yorker!
I have three little human beings and life with them is absolutely b-a-n-a-n-a-s! Thankfully my husband has the same high level of tolerance for chaos as I so it makes things a little easier. But we are certainly not experts! One thing I know for sure is that life will be quiet one day, and slow and the house will be empty. I will miss these days of noise, mess and fullness.
Of all the demanding tasks of parenthood - family entertainer, short-order cook, missing sock finder, bedtime cuddler, school organizer - the most demanding might just be preserving your family's legacy. I want to help you remember all of this.

Truth be told, I'm a little bit of an introvert. I love to steal a few moments of solitude, catch up on reality TV (“Bachelor,” anyone?!) and relax with my husband and our three littles at home. I love sitcoms and dramas, don't get me wrong! But there is something so fun and mindless when it come to reality TV and after a long day, it's just what I need to unwind.
01. My guilty pleasure is reality TV!
If you think photographing kids is not an easy task, try seeing them with kitchen knives! I have always loved working with children and teaching them about where our food comes from is one of my greatest accomplishments. I’ve learned to work with children of all different ages and backgrounds and my favorite part was building relationships with their parents and caregivers. I'm all about community and leaning on each other as a village!
02. I used to run my own cooking camp for kids.
Maybe it's city living, maybe it's having three kids, but I have come to realize I don't need much to be happy. Life's changes are so subtle and even more so now that we are stuck inside our four walls, but everyday we find ways to deepen our laugh lines, feel the joy within the struggles, and live with full hearts. Just give me a nice view and a revolving door of friends and family.
03. My dream life would be a minimalist one!
One of my crowning achievements in life has been reaching Platinum status on Delta and although we haven't travelled in a while, I'm itching to travel again once we can. I have been to Canada, Japan, Mongolia, China, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Cambodia, Timor Leste, Indonesia, South Korea, the Philippines, Singapore, Ethiopia, Italy, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Spain. If I had to choose the next destination, it would be Norway!

The short answer is no but I will guide you. I want you to have photos that look and feel like you. Based on the details from our pre-session phone chat, I will make sure the session flows naturally so that you and your family are having fun and not worried about where to look and feeling too posed.
Heck, what about my husband? Hey, I get this! That's a lot to worry about but my job is to make your session a fun, memory-making experience rather than something to dread. I invest in learning about your family beforehand so I can draw out your unique personalities and make it come to life.
I know juggling work and family (and everything else!) is an Olympian feat and there is so little time and energy left at the end of the day to even lay on the couch. I will provide you a fully customizable service -nothing will be left up to you and all your questions will be answered- so all you need to do is show up and leave the heavy lifting to me.
